How mentoring works
Start Safe is a sequence rather than a single conversation. You move through it at your own pace, with your educator's written replies at each stage.

Prepare at your own pace
Short learning sections on governance, patient safety, decision-making, prescribing awareness and reflection, included without a separate charge.
Work through 7 worksheets
Over 8 weeks you write your reflections and submit each worksheet for review.
Written feedback on each one
Your educator replies in writing within 5 working days, and every worksheet carries one revision check.
Close with a one-to-one call
The programme ends with a 30-minute video review, where you draw the learning together and agree what to work on next.

The programme is a one-time purchase, VAT included, with no subscription and no automatic renewal. It is also included at no separate charge when you book a full one-to-one practical training day.

Your private practice log
Mentorship brings your questions and case discussions into one private space. You can share anonymised photos and documents, and written replies stay with each entry so you can return to them later. Only you and your educator can see your log.
Patient information must be anonymised, with consent to share it for review. Use your signed-in mentorship area for case material, not a public enquiry form.
One-to-one video reviews
The programme includes a 30-minute closing video meeting. Additional agreed reviews are £75 for 30 minutes, booked in advance. Sessions focus on governance, decision-making, documentation and reflection, not hands-on supervision or prescribing consultations.
Agreeing your support
Your experience, needs and professional scope will be discussed with you before mentorship is agreed. It is separate from theory course enrolment and does not certify practical competence.
